Support and hosting
What counts as a 'basic content update'?
Things like changing text, updating contact details, swapping a photo, adding a team member, tweaking opening hours, or adding a new FAQ. Essentially, changes to existing content or small additions. If you want something more substantial - like a whole new section of the site or a major redesign - we'll have a chat about it and quote separately. But for day-to-day changes, you're covered.
Is there a limit on how many updates I can request?
There's no hard cap. 'Unlimited basic updates' means exactly that. In practice, most clients send us a handful of requests a month. If someone's asking for multiple hours of work every week, we'd have a conversation about it - but we've never had to. We're generous with this because keeping your site current is in everyone's interest.
What hosting do you use?
We host on modern static infrastructure - no shared servers, no WordPress databases, no slow page loads. Because we build static sites, your pages load incredibly fast and there's almost nothing that can go wrong on the server side. No plugin updates, no database crashes, no security vulnerabilities from outdated CMS software.
Can I host my site elsewhere?
The support plan includes hosting because we want to make sure your site stays fast and reliable. We can't offer the same level of support if your site is hosted somewhere we don't control. That said, your site is yours - if you ever want to leave, we'll hand everything over. No lock-in, no ransom.
What if I want to cancel?
You can cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. No exit fees, no penalties. We'll export your site files and hand everything over so you can host it elsewhere. We don't believe in trapping people - if we're not earning your business, you should be free to leave.
The practical stuff
How fast do you respond to requests?
For basic updates, usually within 24 hours on working days. For urgent issues (site down, something broken), we'll get on it straight away. We're a small team in Derbyshire, not a global call centre - so you won't be waiting in a queue or explaining your problem to someone who's never heard of your website.
Do I need to learn how to update the website myself?
No. That's the whole point. There's no CMS to learn, no dashboard to log into, no training videos to watch. You tell us what you need changed, and we do it. Some of our clients are very hands-off and that's absolutely fine - that's what we're here for.
What about bigger changes like new pages or features?
Anything beyond basic content updates - like adding new service pages, building a new section, or major structural changes - we'll discuss with you and quote on a case-by-case basis. These aren't included in the monthly plan because they involve design and development work, but we'll always be upfront about costs before we start.
Is £79/month good value?
We think so, and here's why. Hosting alone for a fast, reliable setup typically costs £20-40/month. Many agencies charge £50+ per hour for content changes. And most of them won't proactively monitor your AI visibility or check in monthly. You're getting hosting, unlimited basic updates, monitoring, and a team who knows your site - for less than the cost of a round of drinks on a Friday night. Well, maybe a big round.
What happens if something breaks?
Because we build static sites, there's genuinely very little that can break. No databases to corrupt, no plugins to conflict, no CMS to hack. But if something does go wrong - a hosting issue, a broken link, an integration problem - we'll fix it as part of your support plan. That's what we're here for.
